My skincare products

If you’ve come to me with a skin concern, it’s worth considering whether your current skincare is actually working to address that.

Skin changes over time, particularly with hormonal changes, so what’s worked for you before might not be what your skin needs right now.

The professional skincare range I use and recommend is Matis. It’s a range I know well and I’ve achieved great results with it. I’m trained in the products, their ingredients and how they work with different skin types and concerns.

If you’re using products from another brand, I won’t be familiar with their ingredients and I won’t be able to advise you on whether they’re right for your skin.

I understand skincare can be expensive and not all products have to be purchased at once. In most cases, a few key products that are designed for your skin are better than a whole host of incorrect products.

My role is to give you honest, expert advice, not to sell you a bathroom cabinet full of products. Clients who’ve taken my recommendations have actually found they’ve saved a lot of money compared to what they were spending before.

Working with a bespoke facialist

Yes, I have a number of targeted eye treatments and home skincare products that brighten and hydrate the skin to reduce the appearance of dark circles.

Dark circles can have a number of different causes. For example, dehydration, lack of sleep, using skincare products incorrectly, skin pigmentation, or the structure of the eye area.

During your consultation and skin analysis, I’ll look at what might be causing your dark circles. This will help me decide which treatment will be most effective for you.

The results you can expect

Many salons offer facials following a set treatment routine protocol. But this isn’t tailored to your skin’s needs or your goals.

What I offer is a more results-focused approach than you would get in a salon. It’s a personalised treatment plan, designed specifically for your skin. This means it’s tailored to target your specific concerns, to help you achieve your goals and to give you the best results for your skin.

Working with a bespoke facialist

Yes I can help with pigmentation and uneven skin tone.

During your skin consultation and analysis I’ll assess what may be contributing to the pigmentation before creating your personalised treatment plan.

For pigmentation, this may include treatments such as microneedling, LED phototherapy and carefully selected exfoliating treatments. These will work alongside the personalised skincare routine you’re using at home.

Everything will happen at a pace thats right for your skin. If your skin has sensitivity I’ll focus on strengthening this first.

Skin pigmentation can take time to improve, but with consistency, the correct home skincare, and the right combination of treatments, your skin can brighten and look more even.

Working with a bespoke facialist

Yes, I can work with you to improve the firmness and elasticity of your skin for a more lifted, tighter appearance.

The natural ageing process and hormonal changes cause our skin to loose elasticity and definition, which contributes to a sagging and wrinkled appearance.

Following your consultation and skin analysis, I’ll assess your skin and personalise a treatment plan, just for you.

This could include CACI, microneedling, LED phototherapy, lift and sculpt massage, and plumping and firming masks. Treatments will work alongside tailored home skincare to improve your skin’s health and leave it feeling firmer, smoother and more toned.

Working with a bespoke facialist

Yes, of course. Beautiful, healthy skin shouldn’t stop at your jawline and when we’re looking to target the signs of ageing, your neck shouldn’t be neglected.

The neck is an area commonly missed with SPF and in home skincare routines, but it becomes drier, thinner and less firm as we get older.

I offer targeted firming treatments, designed to improve the appearance of your neck and décolleté area for a firmer, smoother and more hydrated neck line.

My skincare products

There’s no obligation to buy your skincare products from me. However, a consistent home skincare routine is key to achieving and maintaining the results you want for your skin. And I know the products I sell and recommend will contribute to that.

If you do buy your products from me, I’ll work with you to ensure you know exactly how and when to use them. And I’ll be on hand for ongoing support and advice.

Working with a bespoke facialist

Yes, I have a lot of experience in this area, especially managing the changes to your skin during perimenopause and menopause.

Hormonal changes can affect your skin in numerous ways. For example, you might be experiencing increased sensitivity, redness, dryness, uneven colouring, or loss of firmness. And, in some cases, your skin may have become congested with sebum (oil), dead skin cells and other debris, causing enlarged pores, bumpy texture and occasional breakouts.

I take a personalised approach to understanding your skin and what it needs. This starts with a thorough consultation and skin analysis, then tailoring each treatment and skincare recommendation to your skin’s needs.

This approach takes the guesswork out of your skin regime, so you have a clear plan, you don’t feel overwhelmed and you can start to feel confident in your skin again.

My skincare products

Yes, I use Matis. It’s a professional skincare brand with an advanced approach to skin health that works for different skin types and concerns.

Your skin is unique and its needs can change over time. The Matis range can be tailored specifically to your skin and adapted as necessary, to ensure it’s continuously supporting what your skin needs.

My services and treatments

It depends on the treatment you have. As part of your bespoke facial experience, I’ll explain everything before we begin.

For most of my bespoke facials you can wear make-up afterwards, if you want to. However, many clients find they enjoy the look and feel of their skin after treatment, so they don’t actually want to use make-up.

Following some treatments, a mineral make-up can be lightly applied.

For more advanced treatments, such as microneedling and certain exfoliating treatments, it may be necessary to leave your skin make-up-free for 48 hours.

All treatment aftercare will be explained, so you can feel confident looking after your skin at home.

The results you can expect

This will depend on your skin, your concerns, and the plan we create together.

After your first bespoke facial, you may notice your skin is already looking brighter, more hydrated and smoother. But to make changes in the longer term will take time and consistency.

Some concerns could require a 6-week or 12-week treatment plan before we move onto the maintenance programme.

If you’re looking for long-term results, consistency is key. Using the right combination of treatments and home skincare and making sure you stick to the plan.

The results you can expect

This will depend on the treatment in your bespoke facial, your skin and how you follow the aftercare and home skincare recommendations.

Some clients find their skin is hydrated and radiant for several days following their bespoke facial experience. Improvements to texture, firmness, pigmentation and acne scarring can last much longer with regular treatments and consistent home skincare.

When it’s appropriate, I’ll create a tailored maintenance plan to keep your skin looking its best.

It’s important to understand that your skin is changing all the time. My bespoke approach allows flexibility, so we can adapt your plan as we need to.

My services and treatments

This depends on the condition of your skin, what your particular concerns are, and what you want to achieve.

Some skin concerns can be improved with individual monthly treatments, while others require a more focused treatment plan to achieve the best results. This could be a 6-week or 12-week plan, depending on your skin and how it responds.

When we discuss your treatment plan, I’ll explain why I’m recommending the specific treatments and duration.

Once we’ve achieved the improvements, we can move on to the maintenance plan, which will keep your skin healthy and maintain those results.

Working with a bespoke facialist

Uneven texture can have many different causes. For example, dehydration, skin congestion, hormonal changes, using skincare products incorrectly, scarring, sun damage and/or the ageing process.

During your consultation and skin analysis, I’ll look at what’s contributing to your uneven texture and create a treatment and home skincare plan specifically for you.

Treatments may include microdermabrasion, skin peels and LED phototherapy. These will work alongside retinoids, hydrating products and treatments to encourage a smoother and more radiant appearance, without compromising your skin barrier.

The results you can expect

Two months is a good starting point.

We’ll begin with a thorough consultation and skin analysis to understand your goals and what your skin needs.

I can then create a personalised treatment plan. This will include treatment time and home skincare recommendations. It will also specify what concerns we can work on in your timescale.

I’ll make sure I allow your skin time to respond and settle before the event. And I’ll schedule a glow-boosting bespoke facial nearer the event date, so your skin will look its best.

Working with a bespoke facialist

I can help with both acne and acne scarring.

There are a number of factors which contribute to acne, such as hormonal changes, inflammation, congestion and using the wrong skincare products.

We’ll discuss these during your consultation and skin analysis. Understanding your skin better will help me treat the cause, rather than just the symptoms.

Where I feel I can help you with improvements to your skin, I’ll create a bespoke plan of treatments and home skincare. This could include exfoliating treatments, LED phototherapy, skin peels and microneedling.

However, if your acne is severe, it could be more beneficial to consult a medical professional for treatment.

If you have acne scarring, I can work with you to improve the appearance of the scars, pigmentation and uneven skin texture. In this case, your personalised plan may include microneedling and other targeting repairing treatments.

I have a gentle approach to support you on your skin health journey, so you no longer have to hide behind make-up or use harsh products at home.

My services and treatments

You’ll need a willingness to work with me and apply my advice consistently.

But there is flexibility and I won’t expect you to completely change your lifestyle, or spend hours on your home skincare routine.

We’ll discuss your plan and put in place realistic steps that feel comfortable and will fit with your lifestyle. When you’re making changes to improve your skin, consistency is key. The home skincare advice will play an important role alongside your regular treatments.

I’ll explain all my recommendations to you, so you understand everything we’re going to do and the difference it will make.

I’m also realistic, because life happens and we can all fall out of our routines now and then. If things change and cause a change in your skin, your plan can always be adjusted.

As we work together, we’ll regularly review how you’re finding things and adjust your plan, if necessary, so you can keep being consistent.

Working with a bespoke facialist

This is great. You don’t need to know anything about skincare, because that’s my job.

When you come to see me, I won’t be expecting you to know your skin type, to understand how skincare products work, or even to have a skincare routine.

During your consultation, we’ll talk about your skin, what products you’ve been using and what facials you may have had before. You can also tell me what concerns you have about your skin and what you’d like to improve.

I’ll explain the findings from your skin analysis and lifestyle form in plain English, so you can understand why your skin is causing you concern. You can ask as many questions as you like and message or call me after your appointment if you think of things at home.

I get questions from my clients all the time and I’m only too happy to answer them. Because there are no silly questions, but there is a lot of misinformation about skincare and products out there.

Working with a bespoke facialist

I completely understand how upsetting it can be when your skin changes and you no longer recognise it. I’ve experienced my own skin concerns with redness and sensitivity and I know how it can affect your confidence and self-esteem.

My treatment room is a safe, supportive, calming space where you can feel free to share your skin concerns without any fear of judgement. The consultation will be a relaxed chat with a cuppa and you don’t have to see your skin analysis results if you’d prefer not to.

Working with a bespoke facialist

This is a common concern I see — and both can be treated.

Fine lines and deeper wrinkles are a part of the natural ageing process. To improve your skin’s appearance, texture and firmness, treatments may include CACI wrinkle comb, microcurrent, LED phototherapy, microneedling, microdermabrasion, plumping and firming masks.

These will be used with your personalised home skincare, based on the results of your consultation and skin analysis.

My aim will be for your skin to look smoother and firmer, with a more radiant and healthy glow. And this will support you to feel confident as your skin changes.

Working with a bespoke facialist

I use a carefully selected range from professional skincare brand, Matis, and choose the products based on each client’s skin concerns and goals. These products and treatments are suitable for sensitive and reactive skin.

I work regularly with clients experiencing sensitive skin. I take a gentle and considered approach that supports the skin’s barrier while achieving visible results.

I’ll do an advanced skin analysis during your initial consultation and choose the most appropriate products and treatments for your skin. I can also adapt the treatments I give you if your skin is particularly sensitive and reactive on the day.

Skin health is closely connected to our emotions, lifestyle and diet. My treatments are designed to support that connection between your skin, mind and body.

Working with a bespoke facialist

I don’t offer injectables because my expertise is in offering non-invasive and advanced skin treatments that work with the skin.

There are lots of ways to treat ageing skin and injectables aren’t for everyone. I think it’s important for everyone to have options, so they can choose what feels right for them.

I specialise in offering effective alternatives with treatments such as CACI micro-current, microneedling, LED phototherapy, skin peels, and advanced facial therapies with personalised skincare.

My methods are designed to support the health and appearance of the skin, helping you to feel more confident and age in a way which feels comfortable to you.

I also include relaxing massage techniques and holistic practices to improve wellbeing. Because our skin and general wellbeing are closely connected.

My services and treatments

After most of the bespoke facials, you can continue to go about your day. Also, many of my bespoke facial treatments have little to no downtime, so meeting friends, returning to work and carrying on with your plans should be fine.

That said, my facial experiences are relaxing, so some clients prefer to arrange them on a quieter day to enhance the results of the experience.

Some of the more advanced treatments such as microneedling and skin peels can cause temporary redness, sensitivity and warmth, but I’ll always explain this before your treatment.

I’ll always take your plans into consideration when planning your facial treatments. If you have a special occasion or event coming up, let me know and we’ll decide on a treatment approach that works for you and your skin.

The results you can expect

Many ladies do, but it depends on your skin and the treatment.

After your first bespoke facial you may notice your skin looking more hydrated, fresher, less red, clearer and more radiant. It may also feel smoother and softer. I have some treatments which can be included for an immediate glow.

For some concerns such as pigmentation, firmness, acne, scarring and uneven texture, it will take longer to see more noticeable results.

For the best possible results, you need to be consistent with your treatments and home skincare. I’ll always be honest about expectations and timescales so you’re clear on what’s achievable from the beginning.

The results you can expect

Yes, my treatments are designed to support and improve the health and appearance of your skin rather than to change it. My goal is for you to look your best and feel confident in your skin.

During your consultation we’ll discuss what you would like to improve and what feels right for you.

My services and treatments

It can be. It depends on what treatments you have as part of your bespoke facial and how your skin responds.

Your bespoke treatment plan will take into account how sensitive and reactive your skin is and will work with respect to your skin’s barrier and health.

In addition, I’ll always explain before we start if I expect your skin to look a little pink or flushed afterwards. If you follow the aftercare advice, any redness should settle quickly, either overnight or after 24 hours.

My services and treatments

No, none of the treatments I offer are designed to be painful. With some treatments you may experience some tingling, prickling or warmth — and your skin can feel warm and tingly afterwards.

With each treatment, I always explain exactly what you can expect before we begin, so you can make an informed choice and feel completely comfortable. I have lots of techniques and technologies available, so we don’t have to use these treatments if you don’t want to.

I work differently to most aesthetic clinics and beauty salons. My approach combines results-driven skin treatments with the calm and relaxing experience you would expect from a spa facial.

Even when I use microneedling or skin peels, I still believe you should be able to de-stress and enjoy your treatment. I include relaxing touches and rituals throughout, because healthy skin and wellbeing go hand in hand. Your comfort is important to me and I will check with you to make sure you’re comfortable throughout.

Working with a bespoke facialist

Yes. This isn’t to judge you or tell you everything you’re using is wrong. It’s because knowing your current skincare routine, or lack of routine, helps me understand your skin and why it’s behaving the way it is.

We’ll talk about the products you’re using, how you’re using them and — most importantly — how your skin feels and responds to them. You might have some products that are working for you, while others are contributing to the skin concerns you’re trying to address.

These insights help me create personalised recommendations with a clear skincare plan for you to follow, where needed.

The goal is to help you feel happier, more confident and less confused about your skin, giving you a skincare routine that works for you, your lifestyle and budget.

My skincare products

Yes, I recommend Matis products as part of your personalised home skincare plan. You can purchase these directly from me.

I’ll explain what I’m recommending, why I’m recommending it and how you use it. And you’ll be able to contact me to ask any questions when you get home.

My recommendations always take your budget and lifestyle into account, so I’m not going to sell you a bathroom cabinet of products. My aim is to help you feel confident in your products and enjoy using them so you see the benefits.

My services and treatments

Absolutely not. You’ll never feel pressured to have a treatment or buy a product you don’t want. I’ll make recommendations based on your skin’s needs and your goals, but the final decision will always be yours.

Skincare and skin treatments can be confusing and overwhelming. I created The Hayley Kooner Method to provide a safe, supportive space with honest, expert advice and no judgement or pressure.
